The year 2014 is the starting point for the rejuvenation of China's northeast old industrial base in the new decade. The equipment manufacturing industry is a common characteristic industry in the three northeastern provinces. Each province has issued measures to promote the development of the industry. According to the 2014 Jilin Provincial Government Work Report, equipment manufacturing as a potential new pillar industry will be supported with emphasis.

According to the “Twelfth Five-year Plan for Development of China's High-end Equipment Manufacturing Industry”, by 2015, China’s high-end equipment manufacturing industry will have sales revenue of more than 6 trillion yuan.

In the face of such a tempting "cake", the world's equipment manufacturing manufacturers have accelerated the pace of opening up the Chinese market. The northeastern region including Changchun, as an important base for China's traditional equipment manufacturing industry, has attracted many manufacturers to seek cooperation.

“The Northeast market is very promising. We plan to establish an office in Shenyang or Changchun next year to serve the Northeast market.” Chen Wenjie, representative of the Japan Toshiba Shanghai branch, said that Toshiba Japan is currently in contact with Changchun FAW to seek cooperation in equipment.

Chang Xiaolei, the sole distributor of the makerbot3D printer in the northeast of the United States, said that the US makerbot3D printer was first promoted in the northeast region this year and has reached cooperation with FAW, Jilin University and other enterprises and institutions.

At the exhibition site, many local equipment manufacturing companies in China also exhibited the latest products independently developed. Internationally renowned manufacturers compete.
