·Shijiazhuang: All yellow label cars will be eliminated in 2014

According to the understanding of Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province, the source analysis of Shijiazhuang City analyzed the samples of PM2.5 and PM10 in the winter, summer and spring seasons. The preliminary results have been reported to the Shijiazhuang Municipal Committee and the Municipal Government. The next step is to further confirm by experts. It can be announced in mid-June.
According to the person in charge of the Environmental Protection Bureau of Shijiazhuang City, the city's preliminary analysis of pollution sources shows that dust pollution is the main feature, and coal dust is the focus of dust pollution. It is understood that Shijiazhuang consumes about 60 million tons of coal per year, which is three times that of Beijing. In order to control air pollution, in addition to reducing coal consumption, it is necessary to increase the amount of coal-fired emission reductions of industrial enterprises. In order to achieve this goal, several thermal power plants in Shijiazhuang began to upgrade.
For the muck trucks that transport building materials, Shijiazhuang has already implemented special license plates and installation of GPS monitoring measures for 920 mucks of 22 companies. However, once the supervision is relaxed, there will still be problems such as the disappearance. This year, Shijiazhuang will carry out a new round of upgrades to the muck trucks, all of which will be replaced with new closed-type vehicles. In addition, Shijiazhuang increased the progress of the elimination of yellow-label vehicles. Shijiazhuang City has a total of 151,000 yellow-label vehicles, ranking first in Hebei Province. Last year, Shijiazhuang City implemented the policy of subsidizing the yellow-label vehicles in advance to enjoy subsidies. The maximum subsidy was 18,000 yuan, and 98,000 vehicles were eliminated. In 2014, the city plans to phase out the remaining 53,000 yellow-label vehicles, in line with Beijing.
