In 2014, the mainland will increase investment in overseas tires

On April 2, 2014, Continental GmbH announced recently that it plans to invest more than US$1.38 billion in its global tire subsidiaries by 2016 for the purpose of upgrading its tire products and expanding its overseas production capacity.

The company’s new Modipuram plant in India will be put into operation in 2014; the new production line at the Sumter plant in the United States has been put into operation in January this year, while the new construction in Russia is Kaluga. The factory was operational in October last year. By 2016, the company's tire production capacity will increase by more than 20 million.
