Connections between overweight and asthmatic children

The heavier the weight, the higher the risk of asthma, according to the German Lung Association. Their findings are based on a new study showing that there is a direct relationship between excessive average body mass index (BMI) and asthma. Relevance is independent of other factors such as social background or lack of exercise. The body mass index is calculated as a square meter measuring the height of a person's weight. More than the average BMI is when the number is higher than 25, as the increase in body mass index is also the case, the amount of adipose tissue in the body, according to the German Lung Association. This may lead to more infections and asthma.
The Association of Pulmonologists recommends that overweight children change their diet and exercise more. This also applies to children who already have asthma. Swimming, skating, biking and hiking are particularly good forms of asthma patients. Exercise should begin slowly and gradually. Taking regular breaks is also important and should be twice as long.
