Cancer also often spreads through the lymphatic system, transporting leukocytes containing colorless fluid throughout the body. Researchers are also developing a targeted treatment that can kill cancer cells and enter lymph fluids.
A paper describing the experimental treatment of cancer metastases was published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.
