Driving Climate Action Through Partnership
In 2019, we met the science-based greenhouse gas reduction targets we set over a decade ago. Our carbon footprint has shrunk by 43% thanks to energy efficiency improvements, renewable energy use across our offices and cloud services, and Gold Standard carbon offsets for business travel and major events. We’ve also committed to becoming fully climate neutral starting in fiscal year 2021. These efforts not only help us meet our own goals but also empower us to be a stronger partner to our customers as they work toward their own sustainability objectives. To support broader climate action, we shared our technologies and customer stories with policymakers at COP25, advocating for stronger climate policies that enable businesses to lead in the low-carbon economy.Building a Diverse and Inclusive Culture
We’re deeply committed to fostering a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion. This spring, we made every employee an owner through stock grants, reinforcing our belief in shared success. We also aim to contribute 1% of our operating margin to the Autodesk Foundation, supporting entrepreneurs and innovators who are driving positive change in underserved communities. Our journey toward a more inclusive workplace is ongoing, and we’re continuously learning and growing as we strive to create an environment where everyone feels valued and empowered.Empowering Customers to Lead the Way
While we’re proud of our own progress, our greatest impact lies in helping our customers achieve their sustainability goals. Tools like Revit and Fusion 360 allow our clients to design more efficiently, reduce waste, and build systems that can adapt to an uncertain future.- EC3: We continue to invest in collaborative innovation, working with customers to develop tools like the Embodied Carbon in Construction Calculator (EC3), integrated with BIM 360. These tools help uncover hidden environmental impacts and accelerate the shift to a low-carbon construction industry.
- BLOX: This family-owned firm in Alabama used BIM 360 to double efficiency and quality, allowing them to grow into a national leader in hospital construction.
- (D/P/S): Dekker/Perich/Sabatini saved a client $2.5 million over 30 years using net-zero solutions powered by Autodesk Revit and Insight.
- Honda: By leveraging generative design and additive manufacturing, Honda created a crankshaft that was 50% lighter, improving fuel efficiency and reducing emissions.
- Rebound Technologies: Based in Denver, this company developed a breakthrough cooling technology that could cut emissions by 35% and improve efficiency by 20%. Their solution, designed with Fusion 360, is already helping companies reduce energy use and costs.
