China's tire industry will continue to develop steadily and rapidly in the future

From September 16 to September 18, the 2014 International Rubber Conference (IRC 2014) with the theme of "Green Innovation and Development" was held at the Beijing International Convention Center. Deng Yalu, president of the China Rubber Industry Association, said at the meeting: “This year, the tire industry in China has fallen in price and entered the stage of micro growth, but it will still be in an important strategic opportunity in the future, and it will maintain steady and rapid development.” Deng Yaxi pointed out In 2005, China produced 250 million automotive tires, which exceeded the 228 million U.S. dollars for the first time and became the world's largest tire production. In 2013, China produced 529 million tires, ranking first in the world for nine consecutive years and accounting for more than 30% of the world's total tire production. In the past ten years, China’s tires have grown at an average annual rate of 10%, with an average annual increase of 16% in radial tires. At the same time as scale expansion, China’s tire products are being upgraded and the production technology level is continuously improving. At present, China's tire radialization rate has reached 89%, tire variety specifications have reached more than 2,000 kinds, and the comprehensive utilization rate of used tires has reached 85%.

Since the beginning of this year, driven by the economic recovery in Europe and the United States and the domestic automobile industry, the output of rubber products such as tires in China has continued to increase, but the volume has fallen in price, and the industrial output value, sales revenue, and export delivery value of the industry all continued to fall. In the first half of 2014, the output value of China's rubber industry increased by 2.84% year-on-year, sales revenue increased by 0.67%, export delivery value increased by 0.96%, and the export rate was 28.46%, which was a decrease of 0.52 percentage points from the same period of last year. Deng Yayi disclosed that the China Rubber Industry Association is organizing research on the strategic development of the rubber industry, planning and formulating development targets, paths, and strategic measures for the strong rubber industry. At the end of the “Thirteenth Five-Year Plan” (2020), it basically entered the ranks of powerful countries in the rubber industry, and the local leaders led the “14th Five-Year Plan”.

It is reported that the International Rubber Conference is mainly engaged in the highest level of technical discussions in the rubber industry worldwide. It is hosted by the International Rubber Conference Organization (IRCO) in 10 countries in turn, once a year. China has successfully held two sessions of IRC1992 and IRC2004. At this year's conference, the delegates discussed the key issues such as the impact of market changes on the rubber industry, the development trend of the rubber industry, and the latest technological advances, as well as the exchange of scientific research achievements and industrial technology.
