2-Alarm fire in Woodridge, 6-27-16

I just got back from capturing some dramatic scenes of the two-alarm fire that broke out at 3004 Roberts Drive in Woodridge on June 27, 2016. The Lisle-Woodridge Fire Protection District was quick to respond, and I managed to snap some shots of their efforts as they worked tirelessly to control the blaze. The first image shows one of the fire trucks from the Lisle-Woodridge FPD, its bright red color standing out against the smoke-filled backdrop. It’s clear from the photos that the firefighters were fully committed to containing the fire, with their equipment and presence dominating the scene. In another shot, you can see firefighters in full gear working hard during the overhaul phase after the flames had been extinguished. Their focus and determination are evident in every detail. There are also several other images showcasing more fire trucks from the Lisle-Woodridge FPD, each parked strategically around the area. One particularly striking photo captures a battalion chief from the department, his posture exuding leadership and authority as he oversees the operation. Meanwhile, another image features a Downers Grove fire engine, adding an interesting contrast by highlighting the collaborative efforts between neighboring departments. These photos really tell the story of how these brave men and women spring into action when emergencies arise. It’s humbling to witness firsthand the dedication and teamwork involved in keeping our communities safe. As someone who was there to document it all, I feel grateful for the opportunity to share this experience with others through my lens. Josh Boyajian photo for reference.
