From Tim Olk:
Subject: Fire at the alley garage near 63rd and Francisco, January 10th, 2016.
---
As I was passing by the alley garage located near the intersection of 63rd Street and Francisco Avenue on that chilly January morning back in 2016, I couldn't help but stop to take a closer look. The scene was both alarming and mesmerizing—thick plumes of smoke billowing into the air, mingling with the early morning fog. It was hard not to feel a sense of urgency mixed with curiosity as I stood there, capturing the moment with my camera.
[Attached are four images taken from different angles of the same incident.]
The first image shows the initial spread of the flames, illuminating the otherwise dreary winter sky. The second photo captures the firefighters arriving on the scene, their red trucks a stark contrast against the grayness of the day. In the third shot, you can see the intense heat distorting the air around the structure, almost creating an optical illusion. Finally, the fourth photograph highlights the aftermath, where the firefighters were still working to ensure the fire was completely extinguished.
All photos were taken by me, Tim Olk, and I hope they convey the intensity of the situation while also serving as a reminder of the importance of fire safety.

I wanted to share this because it’s a vivid example of how quickly situations can escalate, even in what might seem like an ordinary location. If anyone has any thoughts or similar experiences, feel free to reach out!
