Sinopec Group released news that on May 13, the company’s Jinling Petrochemical Company and Jinling DSM Resins Co., Ltd. jointly established a new 100,000-ton/year resin project in Nanjing Jiangbei Chemical Industry Park.
In 1989, DSM Group and Sinopec Group Jinling Petrochemical Company jointly established Jinling DSM Resins Co., Ltd. According to the Nanjing City Government's urban development plan, Jinling DSM Resins Co., Ltd. will be relocated to Nanjing Chemical Industry Park. The joint venture parties decided to use the opportunity to relocate the total investment from the original 94.86 million yuan to 617 million. And invested 500 million yuan to build a world's largest composite resin plant in Nanjing Chemical Industry Park to meet the growing demand for high-end resins in the related fields of China's composite materials industry, and promote the sustainable development of China's composite resin industry. The new plant is scheduled to be completed and put into operation in 2012.
