60 chemical projects won the National Science and Technology Award

On the morning of February 14, the CPC Central Committee and the State Council held a grand national science and technology award conference in Beijing. In 2011, there were a total of 295 general-purpose projects, including 60 chemical and chemical award-winning projects, which accounted for about 20% of the total number of award-winning projects.

From the perspective of the number of awards for chemical projects over the years, the rate has been steadily increasing at an average annual rate of 2 to 3 items in the past four years. This means that the original innovation, independent innovation and integrated innovation capability of China's petroleum and chemical industries have steadily increased. At the same time, technological innovation began to gradually change from a point of view to a systematic one, and a system for the integration of production, study, and research, including scientific research institutes, key laboratories, and industrialization bases, was initially formed.

In the 2011 national science and technology award-winning projects, a total of 12 chemical and chemical projects won the National Natural Science Award, 14 projects won the National Technology Invention Award, and 34 chemical engineering projects won the National Science and Technology Progress Award.

The Natural Science Award and the Technology Invention Award are recognized as the prizes that reflect the original innovation capabilities of the national science and technology. In 2011, there were 26 awards for these two awards, which was the highest in the calendar year, indicating that China’s original innovation capability has been continuously improved. Among them, 12 chemical engineering projects such as controllable synthesis, assembly and structure-activity relationship research of rare earth nano-functional materials have won the second prize of the National Natural Science Awards. Most of them have published papers in important international journals, revealing basic research and Apply natural phenomena, characteristics and laws in basic research. The organic light-emitting display materials, devices and process integration technologies and applications won the first prize of the National Technological Invention, and 13 chemical and chemical engineering projects such as high-molecular-polysaccharide biomass processing new technologies and product applications won the second prize for national technology invention.

In addition, there were three chemical projects that won the first prize for national science and technology progress in 2011. Among them, the PetroChina Karamay Petrochemical Company and other units focused on the near-empty status of China's heavy oil deep-processing technology, and pioneered the methods for characterizing the low-grade quality of cycloalkyl heavy oil, and the hydrogen-based technology of cycloalkyl fractions, which are difficult to use and difficult to use. The naphthenic heavy oil known as "Oyster Oil" is difficult to produce, producing high value-added special oil products such as lubricating oil, transformer oil, rubber oil, and asphalt. Up to now, the project has formed a complete set of technology with independent intellectual property rights. The main products such as white rubber oil and refrigerating machine oil occupy the largest market share in the world, and transformer oil ranks second in the world, effectively supporting China’s national defense and border economic construction. . New projects such as the super valve tray and other new technology research and its application in the field of industrial energy conservation and emission reduction, plastic precision molding technology and equipment research and development and industrialization, and other 31 projects won the second prize of national scientific and technological progress.

The 2011 National Highest Science and Technology Award was awarded to Xi Jialin, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Wu Liangyu, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering. Australian nanomaterials experts such as Gao Gao and 8 other foreign scientists won this year's International Science and Technology Cooperation Award. The National Natural Science Prize for the first year was vacant.
