According to the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, despite the decline in sales, the Ford Focus compact car has maintained the title of China's best-selling four-door sedan for three consecutive years.
Fox's deliveries fell 3% last year to 391,800 - but still enough to outsell Volkswagen's LaVida and Santana. LaVida is China's second-ranked four-door sedan with 372,000 deliveries, while Santana ranks third with 307,300 units.
The best-selling SUV in 2014 was Great Wall Motors' Haval H6, which delivered 315,900 units. The most popular MPV is the mega-light compact MPV using the Wuling logo, which sold 750,000 units.
Hongguang has once again become the best-selling model in the Chinese passenger car market. Low-priced MPVs usually win the best-selling models in China, and Wuling is the leading automaker in this segment.
Wuling Hongguang is produced by SAIC-GM-Wuling Automobile Co., Ltd., a three-party joint venture between SAIC, General Motors and the Liuzhou Municipal Government of Guangxi, Southwest China.
