CFD Still & Box 7-8-11

On Friday, a fire broke out at a residential building located at 948 N. Homan on Chicago's west side. Dan McInerney, who was in the city at the time, captured the scene as firefighters worked to contain the blaze. He arrived after the fire had been largely controlled and shared several photos along with a detailed account of the incident. According to his notes, shortly after the Main Fire Dispatcher sent Engine 12 to the scene, Engine 4-4-11 pulled up and requested an emergency still and box for people trapped in a one-and-a-half-story house with heavy fire throughout and exposure risks to a similar structure in Sector 4. The first arriving engine, E44, quickly deployed a line on the first floor, while Truck 36 performed primary and roof ventilation. However, the initial search turned up empty, as the home was vacant. Engine E95, the second due, moved west on Augusta and set up their line at the rear of the building. Meanwhile, Truck 14 conducted a search of the adjacent structure and also carried out roof ventilation. The third engine, E76, advanced into the exposed building with a hose line. The images captured by Dan show the ongoing efforts of the crews. One photo features Battalion 7 Chief Maria DeCaussin (RIT) standing next to Battalion 13, with Chief Sean O'Driscoll in front of the building after the fire was under control. Another image highlights Truck 36 being prepared for rest and rehydration, with temperatures reaching the upper 80s. Firefighters were seen taking a break, showing the physical toll of the operation. Other photos include Engine 44, which was the first on scene and had one line deployed, as well as the rear of Truck 36 displaying its 40- and 50-foot bangor ladders. A West Side station T-shirt is visible in one shot, while a communications van is parked nearby. A close-up of Engine 76 shows the hydrant gate valve being used to allow another engine to connect. Additional shots capture Engine 95 securing a hydrant on Augusta and Engine 44’s crew repacking their hose. The event reflects the coordinated effort of multiple units responding to a challenging fire situation.

Cooling-water Machine

Chiller is a kind of water cooling equipment, is able to provide constant temperature, constant current, constant pressure cooling equipment. Cold water machine the principle is to a certain amount of water injection machine of the internal water tank, through the mechanism of cold water cooling system will be water cooling, and then have the machine within the cryogenic frozen water injection pump need to cooling equipment, cold water machine the internal heat away, the high temperature cooling of the hot water back into the water again, so exchange cooling cycle, as the function of the cooling equipment.
