On March 17, 2011, the signing and unveiling ceremony of Yuchai Dalian Turbocharger Technology R&D Center jointly organized by Yuchai and Dalian Jiaotong University was held in the lecture hall of the Dalian Jiaotong University Library. Chairman Yu Ping of Yuchai Group Company and Ge Jiping, President of Dalian Jiaotong University, signed a cooperation agreement on behalf of the two parties.

It is reported that Yuchai and Dalian Jiaotong University jointly built the "Yuchai Dalian Turbocharger Technology R&D Center" to achieve a high-level platform for domestic supercharger and booster technology research by fully utilizing the advantages of both parties. Training high-end turbocharged technical personnel, focusing on research and development of turbochargers, developing domestically-developed large turbocharger series of self-owned brands, including large marine turbochargers and superchargers for vehicles with independent intellectual property rights. The two parties took full advantage of the opportunity of building a national science and technology innovation platform, and integrated the R&D strength of supercharger and supercharger technology in domestic universities and scientific research institutes to form an independent research and development technology as the core, linking with the world's cutting-edge technologies, leveraging external and internal services. A powerful turbocharger and supercharger R&D platform has broken the monopoly of China's large-scale ship supercharger companies in China, revitalized the Chinese ship supercharger national industry, and improved the core competitiveness of Yuchai.
