On May 29th, 2014, the Sailing Group Co., Ltd. issued an announcement regarding the anti-China incident in Vietnam that Sailing (Vietnam) Co., Ltd. launched an emergency plan and imposed a temporary suspension of production.
It is reported that Race Wheels Vietnam has not been affected by the incident, all personnel and property safety. However, to prevent emergencies, the company began temporary production suspension on May 14, 2014, took the opportunity to repair and maintain the equipment, and resumed production on May 19.
Saiwan said that it will continue to pay attention to the changes in the situation in Vietnam and the possible impact on subsequent production, operation and construction. The company had purchased overseas investment insurance for Race Wheel Vietnam in China Export Credit Insurance Corporation in June 2013.
In March 2012, Saiwon Group invested in Vietnam's Fudong Industrial Zone in Xining, Vietnam, to establish a wholly-owned subsidiary, Racer Vietnam, as its radial tire production base in Vietnam.
Regal Vietnam has a registered capital of 78 million U.S. dollars and a total investment of 95 million U.S. dollars. It plans to build an annual output of 3 million semi-steel radial tires and 10,000 all-steel radial tires. It is currently in production; the second phase has a total investment of 165 million U.S. dollars. After the first and second phases of project construction are completed and put into production, it is planned to reach an annual production capacity of 7.8 million semi-steel radial tires and 15,000 tons of all-steel radial tires. The second phase of the race in Vietnam is under construction.
