Franklin Park's new fire engine is now in service. I saw Engine 1 on duty during a working fire on February 14, 2013. I arrived after the fire had been extinguished, but I managed to capture a photo of their brand-new engine that's fully operational.

It's always exciting to see new equipment roll out, especially when it's used in real emergencies. These photos give a great look at how the new engine performs under pressure and how it's being integrated into the department's daily operations. The team at Franklin Park seems to be doing a great job with the upgrades, and it's clear they're ready for whatever comes next.
