The first of Franklin Park’s new fire engines is now in service. I saw Engine 1 on duty during a working fire on February 14, 2013. I arrived after the fire had been extinguished, but I managed to capture a photo of the new Engine 1 that's fully operational. It looks sharp and ready for action.

It's always exciting to see new equipment roll out, especially when it's used in real emergencies. The new Engine 1 looks modern and well-equipped, and it's great to see the department upgrading its fleet. These photos give a nice look at how the engine performs under pressure. Thanks to both Josh and Donald for sharing their captures with us!
