Chicago Still & Box 9-4-11

Dennis McGuire, Jr. captured a Still & Box Alarm last night and shared several photos along with a detailed account: > "When Engine 121 arrived, the fire was already raging through the roof, and it looked like an explosion had occurred. The upper part of the second-floor exterior wall in Sector 4 was completely blown out, and broken glass was scattered across Western Avenue. The building is a two-story brick restaurant named Franconelloâ€™s." According to the *Chicago Tribune*, a suspected gas leak caused an explosion at the Franconello Italian Restaurant located at 10220 S. Western Ave. in the West Beverly neighborhood on the city's South Side. No injuries were reported, and the fire was quickly brought under control by firefighters within 20 minutes of the initial call at around 11:57 p.m. Sunday.
