Chicago Still & Box 9-4-11

Dennis McGuire, Jr. captured a Still & Box Alarm last night and shared a series of photos along with a detailed account: "Upon arrival, Engine 121 found fire spreading across the roof, which appeared to be the result of an explosion. The second-floor exterior wall in Sector 4 was completely blown out, and broken glass was scattered across Western Avenue. The building is a two-story brick restaurant known as Franconelloâ€™s." According to the Chicago Tribune: "A suspected gas leak caused an explosion that tore through an Italian restaurant in the West Beverly neighborhood on the South Side, officials said this morning. No injuries were reported at Franconelloâ€™s Italian Restaurant, located at 10220 S. Western Ave. The fire was reported around 11:57 p.m. on Sunday and was quickly brought under control by firefighters within 20 minutes." Here are some of the images Dennis captured from the scene:
