Gao Jixuan, deputy director of the State Special Equipment Safety Supervision Bureau, fully affirmed the work of the China International Working Group at the meeting. He stressed that ASME set up a working group and held a meeting in China, on behalf of its emphasis on the views of Chinese companies. China's industrial units should also actively participate in the revision of international standards, adding more Chinese elements to international standards.
According to Chen Xuedong, member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and chairman of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code VIII Committee China International Working Group, the participation of domestic machinery manufacturers in ASME international standards will help to further enhance the authority and influence of ASME standards. At the same time, domestic enterprises must start with the aspects of material selection, optimization design, manufacturing process, inspection and inspection, and seriously study the development trend of ASME standards, and strive to gain the right to speak in international through proposals.
