From the Guangxi Yuchai Group, the diesel hybrid research project of Yuchai and Shanghai Jiaotong University has passed the acceptance test.
The successfully developed diesel hybrid powertrain and its passenger vehicles have adopted ISG technology, which is simple in structure and high in integration. It has better low-speed dynamic performance than the original one, and the economic efficiency of the entire vehicle is significantly higher than that of the original vehicle. The research results of the project have completely independent intellectual property rights and the industrialization prospects are good.
At the project acceptance meeting held by Shanghai Jiaotong University’s School of Mechanical and Power Engineering, the project team gave a detailed introduction of the entire project's research process, participants, project completion, and major research results.
The project acceptance expert group visited the hybrid powertrain and sample vehicle at Shanghai Jiaotong University’s hybrid power research base, affirmed the system’s engineering design ideas and methods, and tested the hybrid bus to test the starting performance and idle performance of the hybrid bus. A road test was conducted for acceleration performance and driving stability, and road demonstrations were also performed for various functions (start-stop, assistance, charging, etc.). The acceptance expert team fully affirmed the research results of the project, passed the project acceptance, and proposed commercialization ideas and work arrangements.
