Since mid-May, Shandong Zibo has launched a special inspection campaign for chemical odor in the central city. According to the test results, the environmental protection department of Zibo Municipality imposed 11 production sanctions including suspension of production, suspension of production rectification, and deadline rectification on 11 illegal companies such as Shandong Shuolong Rubber Co., Ltd. and Zibo Jinma Chemical Co., Ltd., to further protect the downtown area from chemical odors.
Law enforcement officers focused on the high-density screening and testing of 29 companies around the central city. They found that the concentrations of some pollution factors were relatively high. The measured positive ethane and methyl acetate were the main features of Zibo Jinma Chemical Co., Ltd. Material; and Shandong Shuo Long Rubber Industry Co., Ltd. has no environmental protection examination and approval procedures, heating workshop no odor control facilities.
