Researchers at the University of Illinois collaborated with the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign to develop a three-dimensional graphene-based composite battery material with high active material loading, short ion-electron transport paths, and the assembly of electrode materials into batteries without using any Additives such as binders and conductive agents have high capacity and excellent cycle stability. The cathode material of the three-dimensional graphene/vanadium pentoxide battery developed under the condition of full charge/discharge of 12 minutes, the battery capacity is more than 200 mAh/g after 2000 cycles, while the current commercial lithium battery is less than charge and discharge in the cycle. After 1000 cycles, the battery capacity is generally less than 150 mAh/g.
