New area apparatus at Pierce

I made a trip up to Pierce on Wednesday to check on Skokie's new Engine 17, which is a 2013 Pierce Dash CF with a 1500/500 PUC. They should be delivering it sometime in mid-January. I also saw Evanstonâ€™s new engine and a squad for Posen that were also being built. It's always interesting to see the progress of these new apparatuses. Jeff R.

It's always exciting to see the new rigs coming online. These are some of the latest models from Pierce, and they look like they're built to last. The details like the PUC (Pump, Utility, and Curb) configuration show that these departments are investing in high-quality equipment.
