Governor of Indonesia discusses the establishment of a tire factory with five Chinese companies

Recently, the governor of Indonesia's Sunan Province met with five heads of Chinese companies to discuss the establishment of a tire factory in the country.

To attract investment, Indonesia plans to establish a seaport and a special economic zone in Tanjung Abi Abeh in the southern province of Jiangsu.

According to Bomana, director of the Indonesian Ministry of Industry and Trade, Sunan Province, Indonesia, the local government has set a timetable for the operation of the aforementioned seaports and special economic zones by 2018 at the latest.

Sunan Province is one of the major producers of natural rubber in Indonesia. The local government expects investors to build a new tire factory here.

It is reported that investors from China, South Korea, Japan, and India are very interested in building a tire factory in the area.

Alex, chairman of the Indonesian Rubber Industry Association's Sunan Province branch, said that in order to develop the rubber downstream industry, the local government must work hard to make the above seaport project a success.

In the past two years, economic growth in the region has stagnated due to the low price of natural rubber.

The Indonesian tire company Krama Yudha Tiga Berlian once set up a factory in Sunan Province in 1980, but this company subsequently moved the production base to Java Island.
