Nationwide Boiler Inc., a global leader in temporary and permanent boiler systems, recently celebrated the success of its 40th Annual Charity Golf Tournament held in Pebble Beach, CA. After last year’s event was postponed due to the ongoing pandemic, the company successfully hosted a safe and engaging gathering this time around. Despite reduced in-person attendance—about two-thirds of usual—and the absence of traditional banquets, the tournament still managed to raise an impressive $40,000 for two worthy causes: Make-A-Wish® Greater Bay Area and the ABMA Randy Rawson Scholarship Fund.
The two-day event began with a practice round at The Links at Spanish Bay, followed by competitive play at the iconic Pebble Beach Golf Links. Throughout the day, participants contributed through various fundraising activities, including hole sponsorships, a four-man scramble, a two-man best ball competition, mulligan sales, raffle tickets, and for the first time ever, an online auction. This digital addition allowed those unable to attend in person to still support the cause, either by bidding or making direct donations.
Attendees included long-time customers, industry partners, and professionals from the boiler sector, all coming together to support meaningful initiatives while honoring Nationwide Boiler’s longstanding tradition of community involvement.
Make-A-Wish® Greater Bay Area has been a vital force in Northern California since 1984, granting wishes to children aged 2½ to 18 who are battling critical illnesses. Serving 17 counties, the organization has fulfilled over 8,500 wishes and continues to bring joy and hope to countless families.
The Randy Rawson Scholarship Fund, established by the American Boiler Manufacturers Association (ABMA), aims to inspire the next generation of engineers and technicians in the boiler industry. Since its creation, the fund has awarded more than $200,000 in scholarships to students pursuing careers in commercial, industrial, and power-generating equipment sectors.
