Forty-Thousand Dollars Raised at Nationwide Boiler's 40th Annual Charity Golf Tournament

Fremont, CA, May 20, 2021 Nationwide Boiler Inc., a global leader in temporary and permanent boiler systems, recently celebrated the success of its 40th Annual Charity Golf Tournament, held in Pebble Beach, CA. After last year’s event was postponed due to the ongoing pandemic, the company worked hard to ensure this year’s gathering was both safe and meaningful. Despite reduced in-person attendance—about two-thirds of usual numbers—the event still managed to raise an impressive $40,000 for two important causes: Make-A-Wish® Greater Bay Area and the ABMA Randy Rawson Scholarship Fund. The tournament took place over two days, starting with a practice round at The Links at Spanish Bay, followed by competitive play at the iconic Pebble Beach Golf Links. This year introduced a new element: an online auction, which allowed participants who couldn’t attend in person to still support the cause. Additional fundraising came from hole sponsorships, scramble and best ball competitions, mulligan sales, and raffle tickets. Although the absence of in-person banquets meant some traditional revenue streams were lost, the online auction proved to be a valuable addition that expanded participation. Attendees included customers, vendors, and industry professionals who came together to support the community and uphold Nationwide Boiler’s long-standing tradition of philanthropy. The event not only brought people together but also highlighted the company’s commitment to giving back beyond its core business. Make-A-Wish® Greater Bay Area has been making dreams come true for children with life-threatening illnesses since 1984. Serving 17 counties in Northern California, the organization has granted over 8,500 wishes, with nearly 400 granted annually before the pandemic. The ABMA Randy Rawson Scholarship Fund, established by the American Boiler Manufacturers Association, supports future engineers and technicians by providing financial aid for post-secondary education and technical training in the boiler and combustion industries.
