Chengdu Nuclear Radiation Detector Designed to Win Millions of Awards

On August 3rd, more than 500 outstanding works selected by the first Tianfu and Baodao Industrial Design Competition were exhibited at the Sichuan Science and Technology Museum. The works on display included electronic information products, fashion, medical science and so on. At the awards ceremony last night, the Chengdu MTB S1 handheld detector was selected from 1658 entries and won the “Special Recognition Award” with a total prize of RMB 1 million.

At the award ceremony held at the Shangri-La Hotel last night, Luo Banglian received 200,000 direct rewards and 800,000 venture capital funds. "MT. S1 handheld detector" is a professional detection equipment, from the exterior point of view, it is like a small camera, mainly composed of the fuselage, handle, LED screen. Luo Banglu introduced that the instrument is mainly used to detect the amount of radioactive material, such as nuclear radiation. Luo Banglu revealed that the prize money will be used to invest in the production of the detector: "I hope to provide this design to the unit that needs it as soon as possible."

In addition, 99 entries won the first prize, second prize, third prize and merit award respectively. Among the 9 projects that won the first prize, 1 came from Korea, 4 came from Taiwan, 2 came from Sichuan, and 2 came from other provinces in China.

The Design Competition will be held once a year. In addition to the exhibition of outstanding works, the Industrial Design Forum is also the highlight of the last stop of the Tianfu and Baodao Industrial Design Competition. In addition to sharing their own views and ideas on industrial design, many experts also made suggestions on issues facing China's industrial design.

As one of the organizers of the contest, Cai Liansheng, secretary general of the Federation of Taiwan Industry Association, made a summary and evaluation of the contest: “This competition is a new form of cross-strait exchange. Both sides have their own advantages in industrial design. We will learn from each other and make progress together.” He believes that there are many excellent industrial designers in Sichuan. This competition provided a platform for designers and producers to communicate and achieved good results. “But it is not the end. Our competition will also be completed. Continue to do it." Cai Liansheng said.

Liu Zhiping, executive vice president of the Sichuan Industrial Information Association, revealed that the Tianfu and Baodao Industrial Design Competition will be held once a year. The next year’s competition will start from the beginning of the year.
